1. Open the widows. Simple, right?! Even in the winter like springs here in Wyoming! Opening your windows for a few minutes, maybe less on a windy day, can really allow the air to circulate and get some fresh air in your home.
2. Make a homemade air freshener. There are tons of DIY air fresheners on the internet but here are a few of my favorites! Mason Jar Air Freshener, Room Spray and Simmer Pots.
3. Add a few drops of your favorite essential oil on your vacuum filter. Every time you vacuum the oil will be released into the air making your home smell fantastic! Refresh as needed. You can also add essential oils to you heater vents. Every time the heat kicks on it will be released into the air.
4. Instead of tossing the citrus peels out. Stick them in the garbage disposal and give them a spin. This isn’t just a great way to clean the disposal but a nice way to clean out that funky smell!
5. Make a natural deodorizer for your carpet. Here a great DIY recipe! Remember, if you have pets use essential oils that are pet friendly! This also works well on the soft fabrics of furniture.
